100 pounds gone!
Today I have officially lost 100 pounds! I have been working on my weight loss journey for over 21 months and I have naturally, all on my own, lost 100 pounds to become the healthiest version of myself that I have ever been in all of my almost 43 years on this earth.
No surgery, no shots, no short cuts….just God, grind, grit and focus!
There’s nothing wrong with using any of those tools for your weight loss journey because anything that helps you become the healthiest version of yourself is beneficial. However, for me, it was a personal challenge to do it 100% on my own. I knew that this would take me longer than if I had other tools for help, but this was something I was determined to do regardless of how long it took!
February 26, 2023 ~ December 5, 2024
21 Months 1 Week
92 Weeks 4 days
648 Days
To say, I’m proud of myself, is something that is still a little uncomfortable because I don’t feel like this was anything achieved on my own. I could not have done any of this or lost a single ounce if it was not for my faith and for having God along with me on every single step of this journey. It is through my daily walk with Christ and in my devotions that I found the strength to continue on each and every day. In addition to Him, it has been my tribe’s support and encouragement that gave me the confidence in myself to keep going during those hard days.
Every January I try to have a word that I live by for that year and for a couple of years in a row I choose consistency. I could never fully achieve it and would do good for a little bit whether it be with my health, my business and professionally or even just in my personal life, it was just something I could not maintain on a consistent basis. It wasn’t until I started researching and looking into why I was having trouble staying so consistent.
On February 26, 2023, I found the answer and I realize that I don’t need a new word every year to focus on. I needed one word every single day for the rest of my life and that was DISCIPLINE!
Discipline is the key to life that unlocks every single door. Without discipline you cannot have consistency because you have to make a choice to wake up every morning whether you want to or not to stay focused on your goals. By doing that every day and choosing discipline you then become consistent in whatever your goal is you’re achieving. That is when everything else flows behind it.
Discipline leads to consistency;
consistency leads to productivity;
productivity leads to Success!!
Now on to the next goal….
